As we move throughout the day from one task to the next, it is good to slow down and observe what is right in front of us, to really see and not gloss over important details. Take your time to look at the photo. I believe this exercise will surprise you and over time you will be able to strengthen your observation skills. If the design is in the details then noticing the details is a crucial skill we need to continually practice.
Once youβre done, share your observations in the comments.
Instructions: Make a list of all the details you notice in the picture below. ππ½
Did you notice the chairs piled up in the van, or the direction the wind is blowing the flags? Thanks for taking the time to practice. I would love to see what the list you came up with. Share your observations in the comments.
I learned about this exercise from Amy Herman, author of Visual Intelligence: Sharpen Your Perception, Change Your Life in which Amy helps us understand the importance of careful observation.
