Lately, I have realized that the mind is a terrible place to store ideas!
To-do lists, reminders, worries about forgetting, stress, clutter, and information overload are real and can inhibit our brain’s focus and function.
This is why we need to get ideas out of our heads and onto paper, a whiteboard, a note-taking app, or a visual workspace so we can:
visualize them,
notice them,
see them,
understand them,
twist them,
turn them,
share them,
assess them,
get feedback,
analyze them,
challenge them,
critique them,
push them,
pull them,
update them,
change them,
contextualize them
revisit them,
develop them,
build them,
reduce them,
add to them,
take away from them,
prioritize them,
organize them,
split them,
follow them,
focus on them,
break them,
build them,
clarify them,
reconstruct them,
prototype them,
experiment with them,
make them real,
test them,
learn from them,
connect with them,
discard them,
abandon them,
shelf them,
store them,
lock them up,
forget them,
erase them,
free yourself from them,
better understand yourself in the process
…and then do it all over again to iterate and improve them.
So, get your ideas out of your head in whatever format works best for you.✊🏽
May you have a wonderful week full of amazing ideas!
