A single line from the latest MyMind newsletter gave me an idea I couldn’t ignore.
I’m showing you my desk exactly as it looks right now. There is no careful rearranging, no hiding the coffee mug stains, no artfully stacked notebooks.
It’s not easy for me to share this with you. My inner critic jumps in quickly and starts shouting:
What will people think?
Will someone unsubscribe after seeing how messy I am?
However, the truth is, life is messy.
Creativity is messy.
And the more we pretend otherwise, the more we lose the deliciousness of the present moment.
Let’s acknowledge and embrace reality as it is, rather than resisting or trying to change it.
So here it is, my desk in all its glorious, chaotic reality.
Note: I tidy my desk often, yet I’d rather share the real moments than an illusion of perfection
What does your desk look like right now?
In stillness, find your next step.✊🏽
