I recently needed to change the dates for a flight I had purchased a few days ago. That's when my anxiety kicked in, and flashbacks of long wait times and paying fees to change a flight came rushing back. As I logged in to the airline website and entered my booking number, I noticed the "Change Flight" button at the very top of the page. [Cue suspenseful music]. I clicked on the button and awaited with dread.
As the change flight page loaded, I was delighted to see that I could select the new flight dates right there, which meant I didn't have to call customer service to change the flight, and the bonus was that I would not get charged any fees. For me, this was a truly delightful experience. Before, I dreaded spending time on hold with customer service, but now I was done with a few clicks. This was a wow moment for me.
This delightful experience helped me save time and removed the stress from an otherwise painful experience which brings us to today's discussion question:
What do you consider a delightful user experience?
